Our firm has strengthened our audit team with the appointment of a new Manchester-based partner.
Lee Van Houplines joins from Azets, where he started as a graduate trainee in 2004 and progressed to become audit partner in January 2021.
His new role involves leading a growing portfolio of business clients across the North West and further developing the network's audit team. His appointment brings the number of partners across the firm to 26.
Lee has strong experience advising businesses from a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, distribution, logistics, healthcare, construction, professional and technological service providers and he is also member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Graham Gordon, managing partner, said:
“As our North West audit team continues to grow, recruiting experienced leaders who share our company values and can help us achieve our ambitions is a real priority.
“Lee has decades of experience advising businesses of all sizes, from fast-growing startups and established owner-managed businesses to private equity backed companies and subsidiaries of multinational PLCs. He knows the Manchester market well and will strengthen our team so we can continue to deliver a high-quality service to all clients.”
Lee is originally from Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire and moved to Manchester in 2004. He has lived in Sale since 2010.
He said:
“MHA is recognised as a leading accountancy and business advisory network across the North West and after meeting with various partners over the past few months, I’ve been blown away by the ambition and vision for the future of the network.
“I’m delighted to have this special opportunity to help drive and be a part of that growth over the coming years.”
Outside of work, Lee enjoys spending time with his family as well as watching football and cricket. He is a regular runner, often participating in 10k and half marathon races.
