MHA Class of 2024 All Trainees

186 new starters join in latest intake

Leading accounting and advisory firm MHA, the UK and Ireland member of Baker Tilly International has welcomed a record 214 new trainees this year with 186 new starters joining the firm earlier this month. The class of 2024 was officially introduced to the firm by the Chairman of MHA Rakesh Shaunak at a major induction event at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

This figure represents an almost doubling of last year’s intake of 130 reflecting the ambitious growth journey MHA is already on and the firm’s future expectations. Our most recent financials announcement highlighted a near 30% increase in revenues and we expect double-digit organic growth for 2025 and beyond.

The new starters have training contracts at 21 MHA offices across the UK and Ireland including our new offices in Aberdeen, Cork, Dublin and Edinburgh. The new trainees are a mix of apprentices and graduates and will work across MHA’s service lines: Audit, Tax and Advisory.

Rakesh Shaunak, Chairman of MHA says,

It is a real privilege to welcome so many young apprentices and graduates to MHA. We are a people first business, and our future expansion relies on a talent pipeline of engaged and enthusiastic teams who can seize the opportunities our firm offers from day one. I wish everyone the best of luck in their careers here.”

Leanne Wilkins, Head of Talent Acquisition & Resourcing at MHA says,

at MHA we have ambitious plans that rely on the quality of our new recruits. We want to continue to attract and develop great people who collaborate and support one another to reach their potential; underpinned by our award winning, strategically structured training programme.”
