MHA strengthens Edinburgh team with appointment of new director

Accountancy and business advisory firm MHA has strengthened its Scottish team with the appointment of a new tax director based in Edinburgh.

David Doherty, who has more than 30 years’ experience, is providing tax advice to private clients, including personal tax and trusts, capital gains tax and inheritance tax compliance and advisory services.

This covers a variety of industries including agriculture, healthcare, real estate and professional practices.

MHA is the 13th largest accountancy group in the UK and, in Scotland, has offices in Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

Lachlan Fernie, partner in Edinburgh, said:

ATT (Association of Tax Technicians) qualified, David takes great pride in providing an expert service to clients, covering tax compliance and consultancy advice, protecting them against risk.

David, who is based at the firm’s offices in St Colme Street, Edinburgh, said:

David, who cites golf, walking and watching rugby as his hobbies outside of work, previously worked at Augustine Tax Limited in London.
