Our firm has agreed to continue their sponsorship deal with the Palace Shield Cricket Competition, marking the firm’s 33rd consecutive year of support for the Lancashire-based cricket league.

Historically MHA Moore and Smalley, began sponsoring the Palace Shield in 1992 and the partnership has been a permanent fixture ever since.

Following the merger with MHA Moore and Smalley which completed on April 1st, the relationship with the competition will continue with the competition now known as the MHA Palace Shield.

Running from April to September each year, 54 clubs from across the North West complete in the Palace Shield across 11 senior divisions and 15 junior leagues, as well as five cup competitions.

Graham Gordon, partner and regional chair, said:

"We’re proud of our long association with the Palace Shield and the way it has supported grassroots cricket in the region for over three decades.

As a main sponsor, we’ve been delighted to present many trophy and award presentations over the years, and you can see just how much the game means to the players and how cricket clubs are at the heart of their communities.

We’re especially pleased to be able to renew our commitment to the competition. Both MHA and the Palace Shield have enjoyed significant growth in recent times, and we look forward to continuing that success together.”

Peter Metcalf MBE, Palace Shield Chairman, added:

“The Palace Shield has been going strong since 1902. It’s because of the commitment of firms like MHA, and our many other sponsors and supporters, that enables us to keep the league thriving, so we’re incredibly thankful to MHA for their continued support.”
