On Wednesday 11 September, we welcomed business professionals from across the North West to join us once again for our annual charity MHA NW Golf Day, held at the prestigious Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa.
We were joined by Barclays, Thin Cats, Birkdale Insurance Group, Hill Dickinson, Conlon Construct, C G Professionals, RBS, HM3 Legal, BLJ, River Capital, Butterworth Splengler, Weightmans, Mason Owen, CFO centre, Base Energy, Meade-King, Begbies Traynor, Allica Bank, and Blankstone Hamilton Group Limited who all entered a team and contributed to a successful day.
A huge congratulations to CFO Centre and Base Energy who came together and won the competition.
An amazing £3,000 has been raised for our MHA 1892 Foundation, enabling us to give grants to community projects who align with our purpose project to improve access to financial education for the next generation. This generous contribution will have a direct and lasting impact on the financial wellbeing of young people in their local community, empowering them with essential skills for the future. Thanks to the incredible support of everyone involved, we’re helping to create brighter opportunities for the next generation, ensuring they have the knowledge to thrive and succeed.
Our National ESG Manager, Rachael Dagger, who joined the golfers at the evening dinner, shares the impact of these grants and how the MHA Golf Days have directly supported young people in the Merseyside region:
Liverpool-based charity, Daisy Inclusive UK, applied for a grant in December 2023 to deliver financial education workshops to the young people who access their facilities. Due to incredible fundraising activity from events such as MHA Golf Day, the MHA 1892 Foundation were able to give Daisy Inclusive UK funds totalling £4,000 to deliver their programme to over 60 young people under 25 with multiple disabilities and complex needs. The sessions empowered these young people with basic financial knowledge that will transform their lives, giving them more knowledge and confidence to be more independent."

To continue this success, the MHA Golf Day 2025 has already been agreed Wednesday 10 September 2025, we look forward to welcoming more businesses back to Formby Hall for a round of golf with purpose.
