MHA were awarded the prize within the skills pledge category ‘Take On An Apprentice,’ following the appointment of 24 apprentices in 2024.

Nicola Roberts, early careers assistant manager, MHA said:

It is fantastic to have been recognised for our continued people first commitment regarding promoting apprenticeships.

In Lancashire we have appointed 24 apprentices this year. However, our commitment to the next generation of accountancy professionals is a nationwide priority.

Many of our directors and partners within the firm today initially joined on our apprenticeship scheme, so we see first-hand how important these are to developing and nurturing our next generation of business leaders.”

Dr Michele Lawty-Jones, director of the Lancashire Skills and Employment Hub who run the Lancashire Skills Pledge programme, said:

We are delighted to have been able to recognise MHA for their continued commitment to apprenticeships.

Year on year we have seen them welcome more and more to their firm and we very much look forward to seeing this continue.

MHA are an excellent example of a company investing in early careers and growing their talent pipeline – the more employers invest the more skills will circulate around the local economy."
