Kanika Mishra Pathak joins our London office as the Research & Development Director
August 30th 2024We are excited to announce that Kanika Mishra Pathak has joined our London office as the Director of Research & Development. With a strong background in computer science, an MBA, and extensive industry experience, Kanika is well-equipped to drive the growth of our R&D capabilities in the technology and financial services sectors.
Kanika's career in R&D tax began during her MBA placement at a boutique firm specialising in R&D Tax. She quickly rose through the ranks, joining a big 4 firm where she supported several FTSE100 and financial services clients. While based in London, she also played a key role as the technical lead for the Northern market, supporting clients across Leeds and Manchester.
In her most recent role, Kanika significantly contributed to scaling the firm’s software-focused client base. She was instrumental in establishing governance procedures and developing technology solutions to enhance the robustness and auditability of R&D claim methodologies. Her expertise spans multiple industries, including Financial Services, Fintech, Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT), Retail, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Construction, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Automotive, and Engineering.
Kanika is passionate about leveraging her experience to build a progressive, tech-enabled R&D team at MHA. Her focus will be on expanding our presence and capabilities in the technology, life sciences, engineering and financial services sectors, ensuring that we continue to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.
Outside of work, Kanika enjoys exploring London's vegetarian culinary scene with her husband, indulging in their shared love of food. A techie at heart, she also enjoys spending time with her PlayStation, practicing yoga, and engaging in creative hobbies like painting, pottery, and reading.
