Captain Tom Foundation: two disqualified from being Trustees

The Charity Commission has disqualified Hannah Ingram-Moore and her husband from being Trustees. The inquiry into the Captain Tom Foundation which began in 2022 is still ongoing following concerns over governance and controls in place at the Charity.
Hannah Ingram-Moore, who is the daughter of Captain Tom, has been banned for 10 years, whilst her husband Colin Ingram-Moore has been disqualified for eight years.
When certain tests are met, Section 181A of the Charities Act 2011 gives the Commission powers to disqualify individuals from serving as trustees or holding senior management positions.
The CEO of the Charity Commission, David Holdsworth has said
As a fair, independent and evidence-led regulator we only disqualify someone from serving as a trustee or a senior manager in a charity when the evidence gathered means it is proportionate and lawful to do so. The evidence in this investigation meant that the level of misconduct and/or mismanagement was serious enough to warrant this action.
There has been no challenge from the family, although they do disagree with the decision made by The Commission. The Commission has said that no further information can be disclosed but the level of misconduct was enough to warrant this decision.
