New research by the Charity Commission has found that 8 out of 10 Trustees are likely or very likely to recommend the role to others. At a time when there are increased vacancies in Trustee positions across the sector, it offers optimism in the push to find new recruits.

The research has been part of an in-depth research into trusteeship, conducted in a collaborative project between the Charity Commission and Pro Bono Economics, which aims to better understand who trustees are, and what skills they bring to the role.

The findings coincide with Trustees’ Week, which is an annual celebration of the achievements of approximately 1 million trustees across the country. This recognises the time, commitment and effort all Trustees bring to lead and manage their respective charities.

At MHA we support Trustees through our “Charity Trustee Hub” where we provide resources and support materials to aid you in fulfilling your Trustee duties effectively. The site provides many useful downloadable documents and content for both current and prospective trustees.

As specialists in the sector, we understand the importance of having clear, comprehensive and up-to-date guidelines to ensure that your organisation operates smoothly and ethically. If you are considering a journey as a charity trustee, you can rest assured that you will be supported on that journey, and benefit from the rewarding experience it provides.
