As of 1 July 2021, a lot is going to change in the European Union (EU) for e-commerce and VAT.
New VAT rules will enter into force.
On January 1, 2021 the e-commerce legislation changed for Great Britain as well. Are you involved in B2C cross-border sales of goods to customers in the EU, Great Britain or maybe even Australia? Make sure that you are prepared! It does not matter where you are established, the changes are far reaching and in some cases very complicated. In many cases, changes to your systems and processes will be required.
On April 20, 2021 Baker Tilly is organizing an online event in which experts in the field of VAT and e-commerce will tell you all about these new rules in the EU, including the new IOSS and the OSS reporting modes. Aside from the changes in the EU, the e-commerce changes in the UK (which have been implemented on January 1, 2021) will be discussed. The e-commerce requirements in Australia and the upcoming trade deal between the EU / UK and Australia will briefly be discussed as well.
