Diversity & inclusion: Strength is in our differences
At MHA, we understand that diversity fuels innovation and creativity. Our inclusive workplace encourages everyone to bring their authentic selves to work, fostering an environment where different perspectives and ideas are celebrated. We are dedicated to making sure everyone feels they belong here, and we strive to create opportunities for all.
"Being open about who I am and what I stand for has allowed me to connect with my colleagues on a more personal level. The increased discussion around diversity and inclusion contributes to a more open environment."
Employee Network Groups
We want every colleague to feel like they belong and that they've found a place where their individuality is valued and celebrated. Part of fostering that sense of belonging is ensuring colleagues see themselves represented across all levels of the company. That's why our employee network groups are vital communities which connect colleagues who share common experiences, creating space for open dialogue, support, and inclusion. Our seven employee networks feed into our Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging and Societal Impact (DIBS) Committee, actively supports the progress of our strategic objectives.
- Disability and Neurodiversity Network
- Faith, Religion and Belief Network
- Family and Carers Network
- Gender Equity Network
- Pride Network (LGBTQ+)
- Race and Ethnicity Network
- Wellbeing Network
Equitable practices: Putting people first
Equity is at the heart of how we work. We're proud to partner with Business in the Community (BITC), the UK's largest business-led membership organisation dedicated to responsible business. Through this partnership, we are refining our strategy around Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging and Societal Impact, ensuring our recruitment practices and training reflect our commitment to fairness.
As part of this, we've committed to BITC'S Race at Work Charter and Opening Doors Recruitment Campaign. We also routinely analyse issues like equitable pay to ensure transparency and fairness, as highlighted in our latest Gender Pay Gap Report

Wellbeing at the core
Our wellbeing strategy is grounded in the belief that health and happy people are key to a healthy culture and business. Whether it's physical, mental, or emotional health, we are committed to creating an environment where every colleague feels supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.
As part of our commitment to inclusion and wellbeing, we have made free organic sanitary products available to all colleagues, ensuring that everyone has access to essential resources in the workplace.
Additionally, our Employee Assistance Programme provides free access to over 5,000 medical specialists and our trained internal Mental Health First Aiders are always on hand to offer support.

Social Mobility: Opening doors for all
Through initiatives like our annual 'Leading with Ambition' Work Experience Programme, we're committed to nurturing young talent from diverse backgrounds. Each year, we offer places nationally for Year 12 students to gain real-world experience, and 40% of those places are for students from lower socio-economic backgrounds as part of our Access Accountancy commitment.
We're also proud participants in the RISE Programme which focuses on improving social mobility in the accountancy profession by helping young people develop essential skills like communication and problem solving. Our employees regularly volunteer to deliver interactive workshops aimed at building our future workforce.

Disability Confident: Breaking Barriers
We're proud to be a part of the Disability Confident scheme, which is changing attitudes towards disabilities, removing barriers to employment and ensuring that everyone can fulfil their potential.
