Top tips for preparation

1. How to Answer Questions

When you're asked a question, think of it like telling a story. Start by setting the scene – what's the situation? Then explain what challenge you were facing. After that, talk about what you did to solve it – be specific and show off your skills. Finally, wrap it up with the result, and make sure to mention any positive outcomes or what you learned from the experience. Use real examples from your experiences, whether they come from school, university, or part-time work, to demonstrate your ability to lead projects, manage tasks, achieve goals, or overcome challenges. This way, you give clear, structured answers that show you’re proactive and results driven.

2. Do your research

Before you step into the interview, do your homework. Get to know MHA’s culture and STAR values – think Service, Teamwork, Attitude, and Relationships. How do these values line up with your own? Also, make sure you understand the qualification pathway you’ll be studying towards. Being clued-up about both the company and your future role shows you’re genuinely interested and serious about the opportunity.

3. What to Wear

Don’t stress about buying something new – just make sure you look put together. Pick something professional, but make sure you're comfortable in it too. You don’t need to go overboard, but avoid anything too casual. When you feel confident in what you're wearing, it’ll show, and you'll feel more relaxed.

Smiling at work

4. Be Authentic

The interview is your time to shine and show who you really are. Be yourself – we want to know you, not just a rehearsed version of yourself. Smile, engage with the interviewer, and show off your passion for the role. Authenticity goes a long way in making a lasting impression, and it’ll help you connect better with the team.

5. Give Yourself Enough Time

No one likes rushing, so aim to get to the interview a few minutes early. This gives you time to settle in and shake off any nerves. Plus, showing up on time shows that you’re organised, reliable, and respectful of everyone’s time.

Place of work

An interview goes both ways, so don’t hesitate to ask us about anything you’re curious about! Whether it’s our growth plans, client base, or team culture, career development, we’re here to help you learn how MHA can be a fit for your career aspirations. Good luck!
