Olumuyiwa is a member of the National Assurance Services Advisory (NASA) team based in London where he specialises in technical reviews of financial statements of public interest entities (PIEs) for quality improvement and compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, Companies’ Act and FRC’s CRR thematic requirements. In his role, he also actively provides technical accounting support to audit teams and clients particularly helping them see and understand the interaction of policies, markets, and transactions with financial reporting. He joined MHA in winter of 2022 having worked previously with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria for 12 years.
Olumuyiwa has over 15 years experience in the application of IFRS providing technical accounting and financial reporting regulatory advisory across sectors including financial services, manufacturing and technology. He has a keen interest in financial reporting fraud, financial instruments, blockchain technology, and decentralised finance. He regularly writes articles and technical guidance on the topics.
