Martin West

Martin has spent over 15 years in Financial Services firstly at NatWest and Lombard, taking on various roles, including has a relationship manager in commercial and private banking, the latterly at Novuna Business Finance where he was a senior underwriter. His experience as an underwriter and before that a banker, means Martin has an in-depth knowledge of financial services from angles to support clients, both within MHA and externally, with their lending requirements.

He geographically based across Maidstone, London, and Reigate.

Martin chose MHA because its approach aligns with his own values, particularly the importance of treating clients as he would like to be treated. As trusted advisors, there’s nothing more satisfying for him than seeing the positive impact of his work on clients. He views this role as an ideal opportunity to enhance existing client relationships while bringing new and innovative ideas to help businesses grow.

Martins particular professional specialisation is in Asset Finance, although he’s very welled versed in all financial solutions, and has a passion for the agricultural sector but works with a broad range of clients across multiple industry sectors. Martin has a keen interest in space, history, and significant global events, often watching programmes and reading books to expand his knowledge.

In his spare time, Martin is an avid Charlton Athletic supporter and holds a season ticket. When he can't attend away games, he enjoys supporting his local team, Dartford. He also enjoys carp fishing, which has become his main hobby over the past three years, replacing his previous passion for golf.

As a father of three, Martin’s interests often revolve around family life. He swims around five times a week, starting his day in the pool at 6am before work to get his brain going
