Alex is an Audit Partner in Manchester. A graduate of Lancaster University, qualifying as an ACA in 2005, he is now an FCA, and has developed his skill set over several years with top ten audit firms.
Alex is the part of MHA’s Audit board. His role includes responsibility for maintaining audit quality for the network. Alex looks after a portfolio of audit clients across retail, manufacturing, distribution and technology sectors.
Alex’s experience is predominantly working with large owner managed businesses through to PE backed corporate entities across a number of sectors and international territories.
Alex has a specialism in share and business valuation and has experience in the valuation of intellectual property including brands. He uses this expertise both directly in specific valuation engagements but also indirectly in supporting his clients, enabling them to better understand the drivers of value, building more sustainable and ultimately more valuable businesses. Alex is a member of the Academy of Experts in recognition of this skill set.
Alex is a keen cyclist who regularly cycles around Cheshire and beyond. He has cycled from John O’Groats to Land’s End and from Coast to Coast in England.
As an avid Manchester United fan, he has regularly attended matches since 1991 including European Cup Finals wins in Barcelona in 1999 and Moscow in 2008.
Alex is an assistant leader at the local Cub Scout pack where his daughter is a Cub.
