MHA are honoured to be an official short sponsor of the first-ever Tigers Women's team and to watch them make history.
Leicester Tigers announced in July 2021 that it was forming a complete women's rugby programme, offering opportunities for women and girls to participate in the sport on and off the field. The programme starts with entry level participation and moves on to elite participation with the overall goal of having 2,000 girls playing competitive rugby by 2024/25.
Neil Berry, Leicester Partner commented:
"We’re delighted to be supporting the Leicester Tigers women’s team. We are keen partners in supporting not just the club, but for the sport as a whole. With the women’s World Cup in New Zealand over the coming months, and enhanced support for the women’s game coming from the RFU, women's rugby should flourish in the years to come. Accordingly, as a local business, it is fitting that we support the Tigers women’s team and help to develop this area of sport."
The Women's team is already off to a great start for the 22/23 season winning their first home and away games. Our Leicester team and MHA are looking forward to seeing them continue to achieve and inspire the next generation of female rugby players. This new sponsorship builds further are supporting relationship with Leicester Tigers as MHA also sponsors outside back Harry Potter, a talented player on the men's squad. Having ended the 21/22 season as Premiership Champions, the men are bringing that same winning attitude into this season.
We wish both the Leicester Tigers women's and men's teams the best of luck for the rest of the season.
